It has been present in our corporate values since the company's inception more than 5 decades ago - "We build a sustainable future" - reflecting our commitment to conduct business by aligning economic objectives with social and environmental aspects.
As the world's third-largest aircraft manufacturer, we are committed to leading the aviation industry towards a more sustainable future, as a link that connects people and cultures in a responsible and environmentally conscious way. That's why we've integrated ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles into our business strategy and operations, pursuing a fairer and more prosperous future for the whole world.
Our industry faces major sustainability challenges. Energy consumption, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions are just some of the aspects that need to be carefully managed.
At Embraer, we are committed to implementing ESG practices at all stages of the aircraft manufacturing value chain, from the development of innovative materials to the optimization of production processes.
We relentlessly seek to reduce our carbon footprint, engage and develop our supply chain, and develop innovative technologies for more efficient aircraft.
Together with our stakeholders, we seek to develop viable solutions for the decarbonization of aviation, and our initiatives are aligned with global agendas, with Embraer being a signatory to the UN Global Compact since 2008, keeping its ESG strategy aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
We believe that sustainability is not just a commitment, but an opportunity.
By investing in a sustainable future, we can ensure the long-term success of our company, contribute to the protection of the planet, and create a better future for all.
In 2021, Embraer released its sustainability strategy and planning with medium and long-term ESG goals. We remain focused on the decarbonization of aviation through the development of more sustainable products, services and technologies and on strengthening its historical performance in social responsibility.
The company is committed to transparency and publishes its Sustainability Report annually, based on the standards and indicators: GRI – Global Reporting Initiative, SASB – Sustainability Accounting Standards Board and TCFD – Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures.
